[Bug-Win] [0.9.104] Gnome archers do not use range attacks?

Non-graphical battle, Gnome archers are there, but they do not shoot any arrows.

Are they using the arrows like little spears?

Perhaps if they sat on the shoulders of other units, they could see over them to shoot?

They do not do well in hand to hand combat...

It is probably one of two things:

1) A bug. There was a bug at one point with some ranged attacks where they become non-ranged on save/load. I will check if it is a similar issue.

2) AI. The auto-resolve AI will consider the ranged and melee strength of the opposing army when deciding whether to use ranged attacks or advance on the enemy. E.g. if side 1 has (estimated) weaker ranged attacks than side 2 and they are (estimated) equal in melee, they will charge ahead and try to avoid a ranged duel. However this is not the case here as the other side is not using ranged attacks either. (unless an AI bug is causing the gnomes to make a really bad call).

I'll have my project manager log the bug and investigate.
