[Balance] Shards not working as advertised

When a group is retreating, I have tried casting shards (I think - game not up right now), it is supposed to slow the target. It says it hits, one message says the unit takes x damage and the second message says the unit is affected by shards - but they continue moving at the same speed.

A similar tactic but the other side of the coin would be a haste spell that lets your friendly unit run faster and catch those cowards. In the nature line of spells, it could be tangling weeds.

I know there are lots of unimplemented spells to work on still, no rush.

Thanks for the report, I'll look into it after the getting the current release candidate out.

Of relevant is also the "Relentless Pursuit" ability, which is considered during auto-resolved battles, but not currently during the real-time simulated ones. (this ability also needs to be given to additional units, most notably light cavalry).
